John Machado is a Portuguese designer and sculptor born in 1942 who graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Porto. He taught graphic design at the school from 1976 to 1983 before leaving to focus on design work. Machado lives and works in Porto where he has developed an extensive body of work as an illustrator and industrial designer, exhibiting his pieces in major galleries and museums worldwide and winning several national and international awards.
