DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Balanced compositions using different colours of strips and shapes of paper.

Compositions using spheres, ladders and leaves.
Candles stand to represent any two principles of design
(dominance and movement)

Assignments done to enhance our knowledge of the seven
principles of design (balance, unity, movement, scale,
dominance, hierarchy and similarity and contrast.
Compositions to

DESIGN FOR RENEWABLE ENERGY
                          FIELD WORK
I WENT TO 4 HOUSES IN PUTTANAHALLI
      House 1
• 3 people and a baby stayed there with one earning member
• Monthly income is rs10000
• Have been staying there for over 50 years
• Use kerosene stoves for cooking
• Need 10litres/month (7l acquired using rashan card @ rs13/l and 3l
    acquired in black @ rs50/l )
• Cooks food 2 times in a day
• Burns wood (acquired from the forest for free) for heating water
• Electricity bill comes up to rs120/month (use one tv and 2 bulbs)
• Use coil in case of mosquitoes
• No water leakage
• Use candles in case of emergency lighting

Some common elements to every household there
• Most people used cable operators for television
• At least one member of every household had a rashan card
• Used kerosene for some purpose or the other
• No geysers
• Received supply of water twice a day
• Used mostly cycles
• Received current supply from the central board
• If they used firewood they always got it from the forest
Some uncommon elements
• One household had a sun direct tv connection
• 2 to 3 people who owned cows sold the cow dung to the field
     workers (manure)
• Very few owned bikes
• People there are civil workers, farmers, auto drivers etc.
• Only 1 home theatre in that locality
• Hardly anybody was educated

                                        Bus harnessing energy

      shoe charging cell phone
Idea for a bus-
The mechanism is such that it would harness the energy
generated when the bus was in motion. The free wheel
suspended by the spring and the weight would make it
rotate which in turn would cause the generator to
produce electricity (attached to the free wheel with a
chain).
It can be used in a bus to generate electricity or even
made portable. The battery is also attached to store the
electricity produced.
eg- used is a suitcase when its been carried

PROJECT WORK (STORYTELLING)

THE SPIRAL OF TRIALS (summary)
Zophiel - angel whose name means "God's spy." And Bath Kol have a strong
bond. They share numerous stories and tales together about future predictions made
coming true, fallen angels, God’s wishes, other angles triumphs and punishments, etc.
When Raguel tells Bath Kol to visit Purah (angel of forgetfulness) she refuses to go
and says that it is beneath her to visit him or even be seen with him.
Bath Kol (female angel of divine prophecy or the heavenly or divine voice which
proclaims God's will or judgment) is then sent on earth by Raguel (angel who watches
over the behaviour of angels; "friend of God.") with God’s permission to teach
Nanthaniel a lesson as a punishment for her superiority and refusing to meet Purah
and that she will be called back when she learns a lesson herself.
She stays on earth for many years where she is named Celestia.
Nanthaniel had troubled his masters a lot in his three previous lives and will be taught
a lesson for the same in his current life.
The story further unravels true love and the escape from the cycle of life and death.

INTERIM COURSE
                DESIGN INTERVENTION (WAYANAD)

We also did a group research on
                                       pottery town and every process
                                       involved from the acquiring of
clay to the selling of the pots.
After that we went to Wayanad to
                                       study about the clusters, the
place as a whole and its people.
                                       After lots of heated discussions,
                                       we came up with some
                                       reasonable solutions.
My take on the entire trip is
                                       summarized here-

                                      Jo-zombie

                                      Happy mummy

I dressed up as a jo-zombie one day and remained a
statue at the dairy circle bus stop for some time and
the day before that I dressed up as a happy mummy
one day distributing flowers and balloons . For the
final performance our group did a walk-through play
on the adventures of Alice in Wonderland wherein I
was one of the seven deadly sins (sloth) as one of
the knights of the Red queen.

  • 24. PROJECT WORK (STORYTELLING) THE SPIRAL OF TRIALS (summary) Zophiel - angel whose name means "God's spy." And Bath Kol have a strong bond. They share numerous stories and tales together about future predictions made coming true, fallen angels, God’s wishes, other angles triumphs and punishments, etc. When Raguel tells Bath Kol to visit Purah (angel of forgetfulness) she refuses to go and says that it is beneath her to visit him or even be seen with him. Bath Kol (female angel of divine prophecy or the heavenly or divine voice which proclaims God's will or judgment) is then sent on earth by Raguel (angel who watches over the behaviour of angels; "friend of God.") with God’s permission to teach Nanthaniel a lesson as a punishment for her superiority and refusing to meet Purah and that she will be called back when she learns a lesson herself. She stays on earth for many years where she is named Celestia. Nanthaniel had troubled his masters a lot in his three previous lives and will be taught a lesson for the same in his current life. The story further unravels true love and the escape from the cycle of life and death. • 25. INTERIM COURSE DESIGN INTERVENTION (WAYANAD) We also did a group research on pottery town and every process involved from the acquiring of clay to the selling of the pots. After that we went to Wayanad to study about the clusters, the place as a whole and its people. After lots of heated discussions, we came up with some reasonable solutions.
