The Laguna hotel complex was built on December 2,
1993 on the Kamchatka Peninsula. Today, it is
considered by both local residents and guests of the
Peninsula as one of the most popular hotel
complexes in Kamchatka. The complex is located a
30-minute drive from the city, in a quiet forest
surrounded by hills, near a small lake. Clean and
healthy air, distance from the hustle and bustle of
the city, the hospitality of the staff, a variety of
services – all this will allow you to relax, forget about
worries and problems.

DAY 1 - 25th JULY 2021, SUNDAY
MUST KNOW: Climate of
Kamchatka
Kamchatka is a land of contrasts. This Peninsula in
the East of Russia is an unusual place where tourists
can see unusual natural attractions. Here you can see
volcanoes, snow caps of mountains and prairies that
look like a green sea. You can visit Kamchatka all
year round and you will always find what to do. In
summer, travelers hike along the tourist trails of the
Avachinsky and Koryak volcanoes, admire waterfalls
and bottomless mountain lakes. Summers are short
and quite cool, although sometimes the air warms up
to +30°C.

Elizovo
Elizovo airport in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky city.
The city is located 6766 km (4204 miles) from
Moscow, taking about 9 hours for direct flight.
Airtport has the following daily connections:
Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Moscow and Novosibirsk.

Region
Kamchatka is a peninsula located in the northeastern
part of Russia. It is surrounded with the Okhotskoye
Sea, the Beringovo Sea, and the Pacific Ocean. This
region has a very unique environment which makes it
a place to visit when you’re longing for picturesque
views, unforgettable traveling, and unity with nature.
Kamchatka is famous for its volcanoes which are
depicted on most souvenirs there, like on
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the most eastern city in
the northern hemisphere, coat of arms as well. There
are more than 300 volcanoes in Kamchatka, from 28
up to 36 of them are active, or potentially active.
Kamchatka volcanoes are included into the list of
UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

is located in 50 kilomters form the city. Transfer take
about 40 minutes to get to the city center. Transfer

DAY 2 - 26th JULY 2021, MONDAY

Sightseeing Tour
During this this tour of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky,
you will visit the most important attractions of
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy. You will enjoy stunning
panoramas of Avacha Bay and its environs from
Petrovskaya Hill. The City, which is only 260 years
old, has already had an exciting and diverse history.
You will learn about the famous sea explorers Vitus
Bering, La Perouse, Charles Clerke, and others, as
well as view clothing, utensils and even parts of the
original ships from those eras.

1. Avachinskaya Harbour
The main attraction of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky
was awarded by nature itself. The most picturesque
Bay, whose water area is 215 km2, is able to impress
the most sophisticated traveler. The Koryak, Vilyuy
and Avachinskaya hills rise above it. The Paratunka
and Avacha rivers carry their waters here. The
entrance to the Bay, like epic heroes, is protected by
the cliffs "Three brothers". The majestic landscape
has an amazing, if somewhat harsh, charm. Here you
can see a lot of gulls, cormorants and other birds.
Dolphins often frolic in the Bay, and its shores are
favored by seals.

2. Three Brothers Rock
Three Brothers is a group of three column-shaped
rocks standing out from the water, located at the
entrance to Avachinsky Bay in Kamchatka. The rocks
are an official monument of nature and a kind of
symbol of Avacha Bay and the city of Petropavlovsk-
Kamchatsky. According to legend, these were three
brothers who protected the Bay from a large wave
from the ocean (Kamchatka is a tsunami-prone
region). Having protected the Bay from the waves,
they were petrified and now stand guarding the Bay
from dangers.

3. Monument to Vitus
Bering
The monument was erected in honor of the
Navigator Vitus Bering, the leader of the Second
Kamchatka expedition. The need for a place for the
expedition team to winter was the reason for the
Foundation of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in 1740.
The monument was first mentioned by Frederick
William Beechey, who visited the port of
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky in 1827.

4. Nikolskaya Sopka (Hill)
Sopka Nikolskaya is situated in the center of
Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. It is one of the favorite
places of citizens. They called it “The Hill of love”.
They come here for a walk and used to sunbathe at
its’ top in spring and summer. Petropavlovsk-
Kamchatsky owes its birth to Nikolskaya hill. Ivan
Elagin — the navigator — the city founder noticed
convenient bay situated between two hills. One of
the hills was named Nikolskaya, another one–
Petrovskaya.

16:00 Visit to
Khalaktyrskiy Beach (15
minutes drive from the
city)
The beach is far from civilization which makes it
perfect for spending quality time without crowds of
tourists and becoming one with nature. It's very easy
to get here: a 30-minute drive from Petropavlovsk-
Kamchatsky. The distinctive feature of this beach is
the black volcanic sand. This is a rare phenomenon
caused by constant volcanic eruptions on the
Peninsula. Flows of lava and slags pour out and
freeze on the slopes and neighboring territories. And
rapid rivers that originate in glaciers, year after year,
erode this mineral-rich rock and carry it to the ocean.
And then, with each incoming wave, small particles
of volcanic origin are carried out and remain on the
coastal strip.

restaurant of the city. Quiet, cozy, all in the
Kamchatka theme.You wil taste the dishes from local
products, salmon, deer, elk, wild plants. There are
delicacies like bear meat and wild duck. Everything is
delicious and interesting.

DAY 3 - 27th JULY 2021, TUESDAY
Klyuchevskoy Nature Park
Visit
As a new park, Klyuchevskoy Nature park was
created in 1999 and included into the UNESCO World
Cultural and Natural Heritage List. The park covers an
area of 376,000 ha with Eurasia’s most grand and
active Klyuchevksaya group of volcanoes in its center.
It consists of 13 volcanoes, including 4 active
(Klyuchevskoy, Plosky Tolbachik, Besymyanny,
Ushkovsky) and 9 extinct ones (Kamen, Krestovsky,
Ostry Tolbachik, Ovalnaya Zimina, Ostraya Zimina,
Bolshaya Udina, Malaya Udina, Sredny, and Gorny
Zoub).

Klyuchevskoy Day 1
In 1975, a number of cracks of 200 to 600 meters
(656-1,967 ft) appeared on a reindeer pasture and
lava started gushing from them. In a month, three
cones of up to 300 m (984 ft) high have grown above
the centers of gushing and all blooming area was
strewed with slag and ashes up to 10 meters (33 ft).
During a year, lava flows covered an area about 40
sq.km. (15 sq. miles). Eruptions like that happen one
time in a century. Just six similar places are known in
the world.Klyuchevskoy Nature park One of them is
located in Klyuchevskoy Nature Park. Now it is a
region of intensive scientific research.

The hotel is located in picturesque village -
Kozyrevsk. There are 6 “standard” rooms ( for three
and for four persons) and two “Comfort” rooms with
double bed and sofa. Every room has shower, WC,
free Internet. At the territory of the hotel you may
park your car under video monitoring. Close to the
hotel there is a wooden log cabin with kitchen and
dining room for 20 seats.

DAY 4 - 28th JULY 2021, WEDNESDAY
Klyuchevskoy Day 2
Leave Kozyrevsk in the morning for the final stretch
of the road to the nearest volcano — Tolbachik. The
road passes through a forest with a crossing over the
Studenaya rive, black volcanic desert and so called
dead forest.

DAY 5 - 29th JULY 2021, THURSDAY
Klyuchevskoy Day 3 -
ascent to the top of
Tolbachik Volcano
Ascent. In the morning we go to the top of the Flat
Tolbachik. The height difference is 2000 m, and the
path itself is 20 km. The slopes of the volcano are
flat, so you will not need equipment, but the terrain
adds complexity. Tolbachik is home to local ground
squirrels. Here these animals are more timid than at
the foot of the Avacha hill, but they still come out to
people. If you want to feed them, take nuts with you
in advance. Crater. We reach the top and find
ourselves on the edge of a crater 500 m deep and
almost 2 km in diameter.

DAY 6 - 30th JULY 2021, FRIDAY
Klyuchevskoy Day 4
After having breakfast, we leave the camp and say
goodbye to the volcanic desert: the next part of the
route will pass along the Northern side of Tolbachik,
in a green Alpine valley. We get into a transport and
go around the volcanoes that are already familiar to
us. The journey will take several hours. Camp. We
will arrive at the campsite at mount Hoof in the
evening. In clear weather, you can clearly see the
Klyuchevskoy and Kamen volcanoes. We set up
camp, rest, and, if there is time, explore the
surrounding area.

DAY 7 - 31st JULY 2021, SATURDAY
Tour to Nature Park

Walk through the valley. After Breakfast, we start
radial walk along the Northern foot of Tolbachik. This
route is considered one of the most beautiful: there
are mountain rivers, small lakes, a lot of greenery
and you can see the largest volcanoes. We will walk
about 20 km in a day. Hares, foxes, moose and bears
often appear in the surrounding area. The latter
come to the valley for berries and in a normal
situation do not show aggression. But it is better to
listen to the guide's advice and not stray far from the
group.

DAY 8 - 1st AUGUST 2021, SUNDAY

Day 6 - way back to
Paratunka
You willl spend this day on the way back to
Paratunka. Check-in at the hotel upon arrival and
have a rest before the next day of your trip.

DAY 9 - 2nd AUGUST 2021, MONDAY
09:00 Full-Day Sea Voyage
to Starichkov Island with
FISHING EXPERIENCE
Island Of long-beaked murrelets. This small piece of
land is occupied by rare species of birds, including
the long-beaked murrelets who gave the island its
name. In addition to them you will meet puffins,
white-shouldered eagles. You will hear the birds from
far away. We will come closer, and the Red List of
Threatened Species birds can be viewed and
photographed. Kekurs and coastal reefs stick out
next to the island. Seals sometimes rest on them.

Fishing experience on the
way to Starichkov Island
We leave the Avacha Bay in the open ocean and
move along the Eastern coast of Kamchatka. Under
good conditions, we make a stop in Ready Bay. It is
interesting for its picturesque caves-which we reach
by motor boats. Fishing and lunch. On the way to the
island of old Men, we stop for deep-sea fishing.
Fishing rods and baits are prepared in advance by the
ship's crew. The assistant captain will tell you how to
catch Pacific fish correctly. Most often, terpug, perch,
and flounder bite here. Even if you have never fished
before, you may be lucky to get a few fish in 20
minutes. After fishing, you will be treated to freshly
caught sea urchin caviar, seaweed appetizer and
fresh salmon fish soup.

Have dinner at local Kamchatka restaurant - where
you will taste real Kamchatka sea food in a cozy and
relaxing atmosphere. This represents comfort,
amazing aura, delicious and beautiful cuisine. You
will be offered the dishes designed specifically - you
will try cod, blue-horned halibut, squid, Stingray
wings, black cod and other delicacies produced by
the largest fishing companies of the Peninsula.

DAY 10 - 3rd AUGUST 2021, TUESDAY

One way transfer from hotel to the helicopter
runway feild will take about 1 hour.

Timonovskie Thermal
Springs Helicopter
Excursion
We will make a 40 min flight with a helicopter over
Koriaksky and Avacha volcanoes to Timonovskie Hot
Springs (130 km from the airport). These springs
became known in XVIII century , when priest Timon
discovered their healing power. Bathing in the
Springs. Timonov Valley is surrounded by the rocky
slopes of Avacha Range. Further up the river
Timonova volcano Bakenin reigns over the land.

One way transfer from helicopter base to hotel will
take about 2 hour.

DAY 11 - 4th AUGUST 2021, WEDNESDAY
