Quick start guide
Welcome to your new secure phone

Your new phone provides the perfect balance between robust security and
a great user experience. With it, you'll have the freedom to use all your
phone's features and applications.
Your phone combines a hardened device, secure operation system and
strongly encrypted communication channels, to effectively protect you from
all mobile security threats.
Get started
To start, make sure you have a valid data and sms plan. Insert a
SIM card to your phone and turn on your phone by pressing and
holding the power button for a few seconds. Use the initial PIN
code: 1111 to unlock the phone. Then the phone will start the
registration progress to your security services. This may take
several minutes to complete till the security services icon will turn
to ‘green’.

The phone uses data encryption and a screen PIN lock. Use the
temporary PIN code: 1111, to turn on the phone. To change the
temporary code: go to Phone Settings, tap on Security and select
Screen Lock. Follow the instructions and enter your new code.
Buttons basics

HomeBack Recent apps
Home button: Press the Home button at any time to return to the
Home screen. 

Back button: Opens the previous screen you were working in.
Once you back up to the Home screen, you can’t go back any
further.
Recent apps: Open recently used apps. Apps can be removed
from the list individually with a swipe or by "clear all" button to
remove all apps.
Make a secure call

Dialer
Open the Dialer app and tap the keypad icon to dial a number 

or select a contact. 



The Dialer supports different security levels:

• Secure Call (green) - call between two secure phones.
• Semi-secure Call (orange) - call between a secure and a non-
secure phone. Available only if Semi-secure calls enabled in the
dashboard app settings or Android shortcuts settings.
• Unsecure Call (red) - call to non-secure phone or when a
Secure call cannot preformed securely.

Secure call (green)
The Dialer always identifies the security level for each call: Secure
(green), Semi-secure (orange) or Unsecure (red). When dialing to
a secure phone number, make sure a Secure call established. If
Semi-secure calls are enabled on your phone, the Dialer will also
secure calls, half a way, to non-secure numbers.
Send a secure message

Open the Messaging app to send a message to a secure or non-
secure phone. Type a name or phone number in the To field. Type
your message, then tap the send icon.

Messages to other secure phones are always encrypted, the
Lock icon indicates whether the other secure phone peer can
receive secure messages.

Secure message
Tap on the Hourglass icon to send a Time Limited Message. Time
Limited encrypted messages offers another security layer by
enabling messages to be deleted automatically after a short
period of time. Use the messages app settings to change the
time till a message will be deleted.

The Security Status icon indicates your security service status:
secure calls, secure internet (VPN) and handset protection.
In order to see more details about any service, you can pull down
the notification bar like a drop down curtain, just slide your finger
from the top of the screen downwards.
Applications security

Your phone gives you the freedom to install any applications from
the Google Play store - and still maintain your privacy and prevent
data leakage. 



To install apps open the Play Store app. If you haven't already,
add a Google account on your device and follow the instructions.


New apps installed under security scan in order to apply the right
policy to each app. If a policy harms the app functionality send an
update about the problem through the Dashboard app. Open the
Dashboard app, select ‘Help’ and ‘Report a problem with an app.
Increase phone security

Open the Dashboard app to view your phone’s Security Status
and Risk Level. You can increase your phone's security by using
secure communications and secure connectivities (secure calls
messaging and WiFi).

Touch the Security Status and Risk Level gauges to view the
security contributors and tips on how to increase your phone’s
security.
To install an update, pull down the 

notification bar and tap on the update.

Phone updates
Phone updates are required to enhance security, add functionality
and improve your user experience. Updates automatically
download and require you to restart your phone. You will receive a
message updating you that a new update has been downloaded
and that your phone will need to be restarted.

  • 2. Welcome to your new secure phone Your new phone provides the perfect balance between robust security and a great user experience. With it, you'll have the freedom to use all your phone's features and applications.
