This document outlines a community-based coffee agribusiness program in the Philippines called Kape't Buhay. The program aims to establish community-based coffee enterprises (CBCEs) that empower smallholder coffee farmers and provide additional income opportunities. It involves providing coffee farming communities with processing equipment, skills training, and working capital to establish coffee roasting facilities and distribution networks. The goal is to develop a network of 300 CBCEs across the country by 2015 through partnerships with government agencies, NGOs, and the private sector to improve livelihoods through sustainable coffee production.
