Peer-Mentorship
Orientation
Introduction to peer-mentorship in the Faculty of
Kinesiology & Physical Education
This peer-mentorship
program was created to
assist in the transition from
high school to university life.
Through personal stories
and navigation of online
websites or physical spaces,
you play an important role
to the student adjusting to a
university campus.
Create a comfortable environment.
Inform students about Resources.
Empower students through personal past experiences.
Overview of Program
• Currently there is one E-Mentor to handle the entire
incoming first year students (~270 students).
• The E-mentorship program is based off interest.
Student are able to opt-in and opt-out of the program
at any time if they like.
• Note: There is no formal method of opting in or opting out.
• With multiple mentors there are several ways that we
can run the mentorship program.
Option 1
Each mentor
is assigned to
a group of
students.
Option 2
Each peer-
mentor takes
on a different
responsibility.
Option 3
A mixture of
Option 1 and
Option 2.
