CLIL is an approach where subjects are taught in a foreign language, in this case English, to help students learn content and language simultaneously. The student knew little about CLIL previously and wanted to learn more about its theoretical foundations, how it works in Aragon schools, and the characteristics of effective CLIL teachers. After the block, the student learned about the theoretical bases of CLIL including BICS, CALP and the 4Cs, how to identify vocabulary for content, cognitive skills like Bloom's taxonomy, and LOTS and HOTS frameworks.
