This document provides instructions for Laboratory Assignment 2 of the CMPE 118/218 course. The assignment involves designing, building, and programming a simple motorized platform using SolidWorks, CorelDraw, and a laser cutter. Students must complete three parts: 1) designing the platform components in CAD software, 2) cutting out parts from foamcore or MDF using the laser cutter, and 3) building a working detector circuit to control the motors. The platform must include a base, motor mounts, motors, an H-bridge module, a column, and a top platform. Students work in pairs and are responsible for providing their own materials.
