Eric Langhorst is a 2007/2008 Missouri Teacher of the Year who teaches 8th grade American history at South Valley Junior High in Liberty, Missouri. He utilizes various technologies in innovative ways to engage students in learning history, such as podcasting class discussions and debates, recording study guides and tests, and having students produce their own multimedia historical content and projects using programs like PhotoStory 3 and MovieMaker2. Through these interactive technologies, Langhorst allows students to become producers rather than just consumers of the educational content.
