- #3: Positive slide: It’s easier than ever to create a dashboard: For the creator: People can download Power BI Desktop for free and start building Many construction companies have Enterprise agreements with Microsoft meaning its easier than ever to deploy dashboards (security and billing taken care of by IT). Power BI is built in a way to make it intuitive for Engineering types – and people comfortable with Excel. For the user: From a user perspective, it is appealing to have an interactive way to explore data about projects. All of this means that we have seen an explosion in the creation of dashboards on construction projects
