Larry Page co-founded Google in 1998 and served as CEO until 2011 when he reassumed the role from Eric Schmidt. As a computer scientist and internet entrepreneur, Page developed the PageRank algorithm which became the foundation for Google's search rankings. He owns about 16% of Google's stock along with co-founder Sergey Brin. Under Page's renewed leadership as CEO, Google plans to maintain the passion and nimbleness of a startup while continuing to grow into a large, successful company.
