Laurent Brett is a French motion graphic designer known for his work on film title sequences. He drew inspiration from Frank Miller's Sin City comics and the title sequence for Panic Room for his title design for the film Hostage. Brett took 1500 reference photos from the film shoot and recreated sets in CG to design shots that were impossible in real life but looked realistic. The black and white, high contrast title sequence for Hostage took Brett a year to complete and included 30 CG shots that he composited himself.
