This document is a co-op report submitted by Lindsay Connors for a Master's degree in Higher Education at Drexel University. It assesses and evaluates the impact of study abroad programs on students. The introduction discusses the growth in study abroad and the need to assess these programs. The problem statement notes that universities currently provide minimal assessment of study abroad. The purpose is to assess benefits to student development, language acquisition, and personal characteristics through a survey of female undergraduates at Vanderbilt University.
