- #3: Stream processing is becoming something like a âgrand unifying paradigmâ for data processing. Stream processing is the act of continuous incorporate new data to compute a result. Event stream processing (ESP) is the practice of taking action on a series of data points that originate from a system that continuously creates data.

Streaming is the continuous high-speed transfer of large amounts of data from a source system to a target.
