My Expectations Likewise, I also have my expectation that I need to convey to cooperating teacher in order that my need my needs are also met and understood. Eligibility to serve as a Cooperating Teacher: Cooperating teachers supervise student teachers on a daily basis throughout the quarter or semester. Qualifications include: Teaching license. Certification in and a teaching assignment appropriate to the subject competency of the student teacher candidate At least three years of teaching experience; one of which is in the district to which the student teacher candidate is assigned Recommendation by the building principal and typically a university faculty/staff member Evidence of educator effectiveness, including demonstration of best practices, related to: Planning and preparation Classroom environment Instruction Professional responsibilities Demonstration of effective mentorship Time and commitment to serve in this important role B. Propriety 1. To produce a quality of works. 2. To ensure that I have a good values in dealing with different personnel. 3. To be morally and socially equipped. In my first encounter with my cooperating teacher, I realized that: Patience is virtue Time is gold Teaching is a heavy job A teacher is responsible of his students during school hours Teaching is not about educating, it is also about inspiring and motivating. I should wholly prepare myself upon teaching. My Reflections/ My Insights A. Check only one and explain. I am ready for the teaching profession I still need to overcome my apprehensions. Because, apprehension is one of the reasons why I never achieve my goals. Yes, I am ready for teaching profession but I should overcome my apprehensions first to boost my confidence and self-esteem I believe that these are the fundamentals of teaching. Fears would never hinder me to attain such goals. And for this practice teaching experience, I am looking forward that teaching will define me as a good future educator in the very soon.
