AP Psychology
Quick Review
Class
A superbly-snappy way to
prepare for the AP
Psychology Test
Introduction
 Hello! I’m Nate, and I’ll be your instructor
for this course. Here’s a little bit of
information about me:
 I’m an undergraduate pursuing a dual
major in psychology and anthropology
 I’ve taken, in total, 14 AP tests, including the
Psychology test – trust me, I know what I’m
talking about
 I’m really excited about this, so let’s go!
About this course:
 This course is meant to be a quick review;
please, read a textbook in conjunction with
this if you haven’t taken an AP Psychology
class
 This course will provide the information tested
most often, not every single psychological
fact that might possible appear on the test
 This course will mostly be on slides until I have
time to record lectures
How does it work?
 Each section corresponds to a subject on
the AP Psychology topic distribution
outline
 Within each section, there are
lectures, quizzes, tests, and AP Practice
Sessions, vocab lists, and test tip breaks
Lectures
 Lectures are presentations that consist of at
least 5 slides
 Lectures contain the most thorough review of
information you will see on the test
 Lectures are designed to be bite-sized; you
can do as many as you want, but I suggest
doing no more than one section’s worth in a
sitting. Breaking them up will help you learn
faster.
Quizzes
 Quizzes are quick reviews of the
information you just learned
 There is one quiz for each lecture
 Quizzes are meant to help you check your
progress
 Review quizzes often to make sure the
memory stays fresh in your mind
 THESE DO NOT CONTAIN REAL AP
QUESTIONS
Tests
 Tests are comprehensive reviews of all the
material in a section
 Tests are supposed to help you measure if you
are ready to move on
 Tests can have multiple choice, short
response, and long response questions
 Short response and long response are self-
graded
 THESE CONTAIN REAL AP QUESTIONS (denoted
by bold)
AP Practice Sessions
 AP Practice Sessions pick apart real AP
questions piece by piece
 These are found after the test and explain
all the real AP questions found in the test
 These are not optional; please review
them to understand how real AP
questions work
Vocab Lists
 Vocab lists are simply compiled and
alphabetized lists of vocab words found in
the chapter
 If it is requested, I can also add
presentations with the words and
definitions arranged like flashcards
Test Tip Breaks
 Test Tip Breaks are interspersed throughout
the sections
 These are not relevant to the specific
sections; they are simply test-taking
strategies that will help you perform well
on the AP Psychology test
Studying
 Please review as often as possible!
 Make sure that what you’ve learned is
always floating at the back of your mind;
keeping the information with you is key
 Don’t listen to music, watch TV, etc. while
studying
 Test yourself frequently!
Feedback
 That’s all there is to know about this
course! Get to work!
 I appreciate feedback – that’s what
makes this course better for you and
everyone else.
 Good luck!
