About 17 years worth have been in the Warehousing and Factory/ Production industries, which include: sit down forklift operations, shipping and receiving duties, material handler duties on the production floor, as well as machine operator duties mainly in the printing and publishing industries. I also have experience in the custodial, and shop utility fields as well, about 4 years worth. All other experiences I have have been either temp work, or filler jobs in between other jobs. I realize I have a lot of jobs in my job history, but the majority of them have been due to: lay offs, plant shut downs, job eliminations, or a result of me looking for something better. Authorized to work in the US for any employer WORK EXPERIENCE Trimmer Carlisle Transportation Products - Springfield, MO - August 2015 to October 2015 Responsibilities Worked in the rough edge area running a belt trimmer machine. Taking the rough edge off of transmission belts. Also trained in packing, basically packaging the finished belts for shipment. Just recently was laid off here due to slow sales. Brake Press Operator Mammoth, Inc. - Springfield, MO - September 2013 to August 2015 Responsibilities Ran a Trumpf brake press, an Omada shearer, and also ran a mitered band saw in the saw shed in this companies sheet metal department. Basically cut and bent parts to go into the HVAC units they built here. Offline Production Employee Becker Underwood (now part of BASF) - Ames, IA - September 2011 to June 2013 Responsibilities Set up mixes, prepped storage containers, and filled them with product in the offline department of this company. Had other production tasks as well ranging from palletizing finished containers, general clean up of work area, etc. Tugger Driver (Warehouse Employee) 3M - Ames, IA - October 2008 to June 2011 Responsibilities Operated a "Tugger Cart"in the warehouse. Pulled materials needed by machine operators, and delivered them to the production floor. Was actually laid off from here for slightly over a year, but was recalled back in March of 2010, doing the same job). - 2. Pulled full combos of meat product from grinders, replacing with empty ones using and electric pallet jack. Had other duties ranging from wiping condensation from walls and ceilings, to cleaning up work area. Folder Operator/ Equipment Bindery Sigler Companies - Ames, IA - August 2006 to December 2006 Responsibilities Worked in equipment bindery as a helper, and operated a folder machine, setting up and running jobs. Shop Utility Mid America Manufacturing - Nevada, IA - August 2005 to August 2006 Responsibilities Checked and filled coolants and oils in machines. Duped chip hoppers. Had general shop upkeep duties from mopping floors, sand blasting and hand vibing parts, but mainly was the helper for maintenance. Pressman General Financial Supply - Nevada, IA - August 2003 to July 2005 Responsibilities Ran a Meihle sheet to sheet printing press, was in training on an Apollo roll to sheet press. Worked in Bindery as a cutter, and a padder. Was also called upon to work in Composition to burn and trim cut typesets for press plates. Basic farm work from helping in the field, to helping care for livestock. I know this job has nothing to do with factory, production, or warehouse work, but I like adding it to show, I'm not afraid of hard work and getting down and dirty to get a job done. Lead Production Operator/ Production Operations Foreman Mom's Meals - Nevada, IA - September 1999 to October 2001 Responsibilities Checked in incoming loads, and put them away, Helped in production (both cooking and packaging sides), Packaged and stored finished product, loaded outgoing shipments. Senior Material Handler Donnelley Marketing Inc. - Nevada, IA - September 1994 to June 1997 Responsibilities Forklift trained and certified. Unloaded incoming shipments, tagged for storage, and stored them. Brought materials to machine operators on production floor. Staged and loaded out going loads and trailers. General warehouse and production duties ranging from cleaning floors, emptying garbage, to helping machine operators when production was slow.
