The Natives migrated from Asia to North America over 10,000 years ago via a natural ice bridge between Siberia and Alaska. They came for several key reasons: to find new sources of food as survival depended on it; to seek a better climate as the ice age was changing conditions; and to start new lives with opportunities like new religions, communities, land ownership, or escape difficult existing situations. This migration populated the Western Hemisphere and ultimately led to the establishment of civilizations and cultures across North America.
