I know it’s not yet familiar to you so this time you will be introduced with the game. I request five (5) students to come here in front to play the game. - 3. Introduction to the Lesson “Now based on the activity that we had a while ago, what had you noticed on it. What do you think is the reason that you had come out with your answers on Mathematics?” “Yes, indeed. But what about the 1st activity that we did?” “Yeah, right. It’s our brain which worked on our two activities. You were able to answer my questions, as well as you followed by commands.” “Based on our activities, do you have now an idea about what will our lesson be this morning?” “What do you think is our lesson for today?” “Excellent. That’s it. We will explore now on Nervous System. About its parts, subcomponents, its structures and processes. But before that, let us first know the objectives that everyone must attain at the end of the lesson. Everyone, kindly read.” ~ Reading of objectives. Discussion “The brain as we know is the master organ of the body. It controls almost all bodily functions even if we are awake or not. Our body responds to the environment automatically and these responses are needed in order for us to survive.” “Our brain is a part of one of our body systems called the Nervous system. Do you know what Nervous System is? Do you have any idea about its parts and structure?” “For you to find out, do you see those 3 Santa Stations?” “I will group you into three. 1st row will be group 1, 2nd row will be group 2, and 3rd row will be group 3. Those stations contain vital facts and informations about Nervous System. Now, what you’re going to do is to visit those stations by group and read it carefully and with comprehension for afterwards, I will be asking questions regarding the topic. In what way do you think we could take care our Nervous System?” “Yes, Ma’am.” “Ma’am, Nervous system is a body system which connects all our body parts and transmits signals from one part to another.” “Ma’am, the CNS is responsible for processing of the entire nervous system. It is composed of the brain and the spinal cord while PNS connects the CNS to the organs and limbs. This portion will be the Group 1, this part will be group 2, here will be group 3, that area will be Group 4, and lastly this portion will be group 5. Each group are given the task to illustrate how Peripheral and Central nervous systemworks. Each group will be given a situation, what you need to do is to illustrate how it come up with the stimulus-response. You illustrate it through making a diagram or anything which you can illustrate the process of having the situation given. For example, the situation is “salivation due to seeing a mango”. When you illustrate it, your answer would be SENSORY NERVES – BRAIN – SPINAL CORD – MOTOR NERVES. Do you get me?” “After illustrating, you choose one representative to present your output.
