LEAD-IN -Teacher greets students
-Teacher elicits student’s previous
knowledge telling a brief story.

idiomatic expression mentioned in
the story and ask students if they
know the meaning of it.

-Teacher tells students the aim of
the lesson.

are you today?
- Yesterday I saw an old friend,
we talked a lot and we decided to
go on a double couple date in
order to meet our husbands.
- look at the expression written on
the board. Does anyone know the
meaning?
-well, as you could probably
notice the meaning of the
idiomatic expression that I used
which was “ double couple date”
refers to going on a date which
involves two couples.
-So, Today’s lesson is going to be
about idiomatic expression related
to love and at the end of the
lesson you will be able to write a
letter which will contain at least 4
idiomatic expressions that you
will learn.

you eight different idiomatic
expression related to love with
their corresponding meaning.
- Now please “Roberto” can you
read the first expression and its
meaning so your classmate can
hear you, please?

you tell him or her about your
relationship with your boyfriend
or girlfriend. If you don’t have
any then invent it. The important
thing about this letter is that you
have to include four of the eight
idiomatic expressions related to
love that you have learned today.

I still remember when I met your father, I had gone to buy shoes with my best friend Sue, and he was the shoe salesman, He was a friend

to him, and prepared a ___________, so it was Sue and her boyfriend, and your father and me, really, that afternoon with him was like a
_____________. After that date, we started a relationship
