- 2. • For this project you will be creating a map about your senses • Don’t rush, you have 1 hour (60 minutes) each day to work on this, but the activities should only take you about 50 minutes • Use the arrows to go from slide to slide
- 3. Day 1 • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hCVnaeoQNcw • To watch the video, hold down the button on the keyboard that says CTRL and use the mouse to click on the link
- 4. Day 1 • Find the link to Kidspiration on the desktop • Click on it two times to open it
- 5. Day 1 • Click on the button that says Picture View
- 6. Day 1 • You will see a screen like this one. • Click on the circle and draw a circle in the middle of the page
- 7. Day 1 • Click on the circle to type • Hold the shift key down on the keyboard to make the first letters of the word uppercase and don’t forget a space in between the words • Type: My Senses
- 8. It should look like this My Senses
- 9. Day 1 • Click on the button at the top to make arrows • Make 5 coming out of your circle My Senses • It should look like this
- 10. Day 1 • Use the rectangle tool to make 5 rectangles at the end of the arrows My • It should look Senses like this

- 13. Day 2 • Now click on the rectangles and type in one of the types of senses. Sight • Using the shift key for the first letter. Smell Hearing My Senses – Sight – Hearing Touch Taste
- 14. Day 2 • Now go to the Word document • Find the picture of the body part you use for.. – Sight – hearing • Right click with the mouse on the picture, that means you will press the right side of the mouse button and find the word COPY, click on it
- 15. Day 2 • Go back to your senses map • right click with Sight the mouse again Hearing • but press My PASTE Senses
- 16. Day 2 • Your first picture should appear on the screen Sight • Add your second picture Smell Hearing • Then you can My Senses move them where you want them Touch Taste
- 17. Day 2 • Now you will go back to the Word document • Find pictures that show Sight and Hearing • Use the copy and paste to put the pictures on your web
- 18. Day 2 • You will have a Sight total of 4 pictures Smell Hearing for each My Senses section Touch Taste

Day 3 • Today you will add the senses – Taste – Touch • Start by typing the names of the senses in the rectangles • Using the Word document, copy and paste the pictures that go along with the senses • If you need to see the directions on how to do these instructions, you can go back to past slides
- 22. Good Job! • When you are done adding the pictures that go along with Taste and Touch you will be done for today • Tomorrow start on slide 23
- 23. Day 4 • Today you will add the sense – Smell • Start by typing the name of the sense in the rectangles • Using the Word document, copy and paste the pictures that go along with the senses • If you need to see the directions on how to do these instructions, you can go back to past slides
- 24. Day 4 • When you are done adding the pictures that go along with Smell you will write your name on your map First and Last Name Remember to use the Sight Shift key to make the first letters of your Hearing Smell first and last name My capital Senses Touch Taste
- 25. Day 4 • Now you will use your writing journals to answer some questions about senses. • You will answer only the first question today, the rest you will do in your time tomorrow.
- 26. Day 4 • When you wake up in the morning, what are the first things you • See? • Hear? • Smell? • Touch? • Taste?
- 27. Good Job! • When you are done answering the first question, put your journals away. • Tomorrow you will start with slide number 28
- 28. Day 5 • Get out your writing journals and answer all of the questions. • Take your time, you have 1 hour to do this.
- 29. Day 5 • What can we do with our senses? Why do we need our senses? • What can your senses tell you about • A flower? • A dog? • A spider? • A carrot? • Can you use more than one sense at a time? • Which parts of the body help you see? Which parts of the body help you hear? Which parts of the body help you smell? Which parts of the body help you taste? Which parts of the body help you touch? • How can your sense of smell keep you safe?
