Lessons can be learned from the behavior of geese flying in formation. Geese fly in a V formation which allows each bird to benefit from the uplift of the bird in front, increasing their flying range by 71%. Staying in formation provides support and encouragement to reach a shared destination. When a goose gets tired, it drops back in the formation and another takes the lead, showing the importance of sharing responsibilities. Sick or injured geese are supported by two others dropping back as well, demonstrating that groups should support each other during difficult times.
