Lets Get Thinking…
Why would someone want to go
        and watch your film?
• My film has interest as it links with an existing
  ‘myth’
• The attraction of not really knowing what will
happen will make people want to see it to find
  out
• The story line is in depth enough to create
interest but not to confusing to put people off
Who are the target audience and how
       will you attract them?
• Our target audience are 16-25. the reason for
this is that most people of this age bracket
have heard of the ‘Slender’ myth and will be
  interested enough to view it
• By using a type of narrative that will intrigue
our target audience we will get them to watch
  the film
What is the USP of your film
                and why?
• The USP of my film is its plot line. It is based
on the ‘Slender’ myth, there is no film out
there with this factor it has a unique audience
attraction that will bring in audiences
How will you have evidence of a
    variety of shot types, camera
  movement, editing and transitions?
• We have planed specific shots due to our
location as well as on the tone we wish to
  portray.
• Our location allows for some interesting and
dramatic shots that will increase the feeling of
  ‘being watched’
How does the music you have/will
       create match the genre?
• On our team Tom has the ability to create and
produce an effective sound tract to run along
  with our trailer footage.
• The sounds he will use will mirror the
information we got from our audience
feedback, we will use strings as well as low
drum beats to create tension and fear
  corresponding with our chosen genre
Will you challenge conventions at all
        with your trailer? How?
• We aim to work with several general horror
conventions, for example not showing the full
threat and using darkness and shadow.
• However we also wish to create our own take
on a horror adding in our own tone. To do this
we will use shots and angles in a particularly
jumpy and erratic way to create the jumpy
  tone.
How will the trailer fulfil audience
expectations/follow the conventions of
               a trailer?
• We will use our audience feedback to
influence how we create our trailer in order to
  fulfil audience expectations
• The setting, tone, narrative and music will all
  fulfil this
Does it follow Todorov’s Narrative?
• Yes it does, there is a calm start then there is
the introduction of a danger and they work
together to put it right. Obviously this is not
all shown fully in the trailer as this would
show the narrative in to clear a way
• We do not want to give to much away of the
  story line
Do you have any of Propp’s character
        profiles in the trailer?
• We do have some of the character types
indicated by Propp or at least a variation on it
• We will use characters such as the hero and
the villain but we do not want this to be
simple obvious characters there should be
more than one layer to it
