Prerequisites Certified Level III umpire for a minimum of two (2) years Attend at least one Provincial / Territorial Championship Received a successful evaluation to progress to Level IV Level IV  Requirements © 2006 Softball Canada All Rights Reserved Softball Canada Level IV  Umpire Certification Clinic Training Requirements Attend a National Level IV Theory Clinic Obtain 85% or more on the Level IV Certification Exam
Softball Canada   Officials Certification Program © 2006 Softball Canada All Rights Reserved Softball Canada Level IV  Umpire Certification Clinic Evaluation Requirements Two successful evaluations provided by Provincial / Territorial  representatives and the recommendations forwarded to the ODC A successful Level IV evaluation at a Midget FP, Junior Women FP, Masters 40+ SP, Senior Women SP and Co-Ed SP Canadian Championship after completing the Level IV Theory Clinic

The first time the plate umpire comes to you for assistance you and everybody in the park knows it is a strike.  How do you handle this situation? On the field - What works?
