- 18. EARNING MONEY How do you figure out how much money you make? You need to know 2 things: Hourly Rate Total Hours Worked
- 19. EARNING MONEY WAGES = Hours X Rate This gives you the total amount of money earned. For example….. If you worked 8 hours and earned $6 per hour, you would figure it out this way: 8 x $6 = $48 earned
- 20. EARNING MONEY You need to know how to figure out your money in a few ways…… By the Hour By the Day By the Week By the Month By the Year WHY?
- 21. EARNING MONEY So you can know what you can afford! You can’t buy it, until you know you can afford it. Banks will want to know how much you make.
- 22. EARNING MONEY Full time work is usually 40 hours a week. A regular work day is usually 8 hours a day. A regular work week is usually 5 days a week. You can’t get benefits from a company unless you work full-time.

- 27. KEEPING TRACK OF HOURS If you fill it out wrong, you won’t get paid. Don’t make this mistake!!! Some will be filled out on the computer, so we will practice that. Always be honest on your timecard. If you aren’t, you could be fired.
