I have come a long way on my life journey to be here in New York to study art therapy. Prior to

Although I was not an outstanding student, I was confident with my grades in art classes. An art
teacher I met in high school inspired me to be a designer. Yet a design major was somewhat

oriental painting, and a watercolor still life painting, which were boring for teenagers. They were

boring instructions. This, T shirt and textile designs, drew students attention even before we started
the process, many students participated in, and enjoyed, the art class. We created silk screen
printing on T shirts and tie dyed handkerchiefs in her class. This instruction also facilitated an
atmosphere of communication. Silk screen printing required at least two people, therefore, we
partnered and cooperated together. While tie dying, students actively interacted, sharing various
colors and produced impressive handkerchiefs. The class was noisy yet everyone was focused and
enjoyed their artwork; it was close to play , rather than an art class, and enough to capture students
interest, student who had only used paint and brushed previously. The walls of the classrooms were
decorated by splendid handkerchiefs. Unlike the art we had learned in traditional art class, this was

Structural defects which are inevitable during the production, chemical and heat treatment
processes can affect the mechanical properties of graphene and also defects can be deliberately
introduced in graphene by ion beam irradiation to get required properties for specific applications.
So, understanding the effect of defects on mechanical properties and failure behaviours of a
graphene sheet is important for its applications. In this work, the effects of linear and angular
orientation of different types of Stone Thrower Wales (STW 1 and STW 2) defects on the
mechanical properties and failure behaviour of graphene membrane have been investigated in the
frame of molecular dynamics. This work discussing about tuneable mechanical properties by
amending the linear orientation of STW 1 and STW 2 defects at different angles in zigzag
direction and armchair direction respectively. The results obtained from the present work may
provide the insights in tailoring the mechanical properties by preparing defects in graphene, and

Aristotle s philosophy on virtue ethics involves the essence of what it means to be human, how to
live the most fulfilling and effective life, and how this affects one s responsibility to others. This
theory is applicable to virtually any profession, engineering included. As has been instilled in my
perceptions about my chosen career field since my first day at Texas A M University, engineering
is far beyond the intellect to do calculus and write computer code; engineering is making decisions
that will affect countless others and could even hold others life at stake. For this reason, Aristotle s
duality of intellectual and moral virtues deserves a more substantial introspective role in the
engineering field.

The reason for this non exhaustive list of qualities is that an engineer needs to be able to work
and do business with an array of people, and showing too much emotion or anger is generally
unproductive for the group and can lead to serious interpersonal issues. Engineers should actively
work to find ways to improve their skills, learning from all others, as well be humble enough to
admit when somebody else has a better idea than them. Lastly, engineers should have a personal
drive, a personal telos, to improve not only themselves but to improve society as a whole, be it via
increasing the technological knowledge and capabilities or by providing aid during a humanitarian
crisis.
There is much that can be said of engineering in terms of Aristotle s theory of virtue ethics.
Engineers must strive to attain a high level of virtuosity in both the intellectual and moral
categories, as engineers can make decisions that affect the welfare and the very lives of those that

its students in their coursework, these are mostly intellectual virtues; moral virtues will have to

Goose Girl is a fairy tale collected by the Grimm brothers who s story line is about a young
Princess arranged for a marriage with a far away prince, and is deceived from her title on her
way to her bridegroom. Deceived and over powered by her waiting woman, the Princess shows
development, but our dreamer for this analysis is the waiting woman. Fairy tales are all about
embracing birth rights, and this is exactly what the waiting woman is deviant about: she broke
from the system and tries to work her way up a class that she is not born into. The waiting
woman struggles with her individuation, the process of accepting the daily events. Through
this analysis, the consequences of not accepting the life you are born to live will serve as an
example of a deeper evil. First, to begin this analysis, the archetypes are to be assigned. We will
start with the shadow, represented by the Princess. Accordingly, this is a same sex character that
at first embodies the elements a waiting woman should have: quiet, submissive, and compliant
because she had to give away and let it be as [the waiting woman] said (583). The Princess
carries the qualities that are considered to be expected of a waiting woman. The opposite sex
character that represents the animus in the waiting woman s story is the horse, Falada. The
horse noticed and remembered the acts the waiting woman commits, so she later on tries to get
rid of the horse, who later develops the story in an indirect way (583). The waiting woman s self
is represented by the casket dragged by horses idea she pitched in for the King. Her refusal to
become who she was intended to be led her to declaring her own fate. Moreover, to explain these
labels, the important events relevant to the development of the waiting woman should be
recognized and explained. The waiting woman is first set on her journey to fulfill her duties
beside the Princess after mounting their respective horses. On both occasions that the Princes has
been thirsty, the waiting woman declares I will not be your slave. If you want a drink, you may
get it yourself; I am not going to be your slave (582). To this, the Princess does not respond; the
second time around, as she bends to drink her water, she looses
