- 1. August 26, 2016 To whom it may concern: Saurav Arora, worked for me as a summer intern in 2016. Over the course of the summer Saurav obtained experience in bridge design. He was exposed to PGSuper for prestressed concrete beam design, TxDOT Bridge Geometry System (BGS), design spreadsheets determining haunch and working point elevations, and Microstation/Geopak for bridge layout and detailing. Saurav calculated bridge quantities and performed calculation checks for various bridges. Saurav has shown over the course of the summer to be very diligent and detail oriented in his work. He was resourceful in figuring things out and was able to comprehend instructions the first time. Saurav also showed confidence when defending his work. He cares about what he does and wants to know why he’s wrong if that’s the case. I appreciate the time I was able to spend with Saurav and I highly recommend him for any job opportunity he has.
