You will keep the information of their lineage, help in establishing marriage relations and they will help you all the time by giving as much money as you can. According to Hindu religious texts, the 72 Umrao who were named after them, each caste was formed which was called 72 Khap (Gotra). Then each khap got many nails which have become the names of villages and elders due to work. This is how Maheshwari Samaj got its name. The 72 surnames or gotras of Maheshwari society are also related to this context.
