- 1. 1 | P a g e INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AT NAWASSCOAL Nawasscoal is a subsidiary of Nakuru Water and Sanitation Services Co. Ltd (NAWASSCO) based in Nakuru. NAWASSCOAL’s core mandate is conversion of faecal sludge to fuel briquettes - Green energy. The purpose of the Program is to provide an opportunity for university and college students to become familiar with the operations of NAWASSCOAL, and to acquire work experience at the professional level through on-the-job training. During the internship, students shall be given assignments relevant to their qualifications. Before the end of the program, the interns must submit a brief report about their experience/ learning in NAWASSCOAL and provide ideas and suggestions that can help improve the Program in future years. NAWASSCOAL does not provide medical insurance cover for Interns. Those selected for internship will be required to submit proof of medical insurance while at NAWASSCOAL. 1. NAWASSCOAL/intern/01/02/2019 Production Intern (2 Positions) Be a Diploma holder in Mechanical/Agri-Engineering from a recognised institution. Have skills in welding and plant maintenance, ability to multi task and work well under pressure and capable of working under minimum supervision. 2. NAWASSCOAL/intern/02/02/2019 Admin Assistant (1 position) CPA II, proficient in Microsoft office, excellent communication skills, team player, ability to multi task and work well under pressure and capable of working under minimum supervision. The internship program is open to unemployed Kenyan graduates from training institutions who have completed their Degree and Diploma courses in not more than three years and have not been exposed to work experience related to their area of study. The persons eligible for this program shall:

Be unemployed Kenyan graduates from recognized training institutions who have completed their certificate, diploma and degree courses and have not been exposed to work experience related to their area of study; II. Not have benefited from a similar program III. Be a Kenyan youth above 18 years and below 35 years. The internship shall be for a period of Twelve (12) months and will not be renewable. Successful candidates shall be entitled to a monthly stipend allowance payable at the following rates: I. Degree Holder - Kshs 10,000/- II. Diploma Holder - Kshs 8,500/- REQUIREMENTS 1.
