The document examines using the ADOS severity metric to evaluate the effectiveness of a behavioral intervention program in a large school district. 152 students were assessed at the beginning and end of the school year using the ADOS, DAS, SRS, and PDDBI. The 2007 revised ADOS algorithm was more highly correlated with the outcome measures than the 2000 version. While promising, the severity metric needs to account for students who change ADOS modules between assessments to more accurately measure symptom severity changes over time.
