Position of Responsibilities: August’2014 – May’2017 Member-Sports Committee at Ahmedabad University Projects • BSE Sensex Forecasting using Hidden Markov Models(HMM) December’16 — May’17 Capstone project aimed to predict the stock price of BSE Sensex. Developed and implemented an HMM using MATLAB tools and the data from the last 10 years of BSE Sensex. Found approximately 10-14 correct predictions out of 30 predicted values while the wrongly predicted values are still very close to the actual values. • Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer(CORDIC) February’16 – April’16 Implemented CORDIC algorithm for Circular as well as Hyperbolic trajectory which reduces the number of multipliers used in the hardware architecture to gain speed in mathematical operations in computing devices. • Smart City: Traffic Density Based Crossroads February’15 – April’15 Developed and implemented a working model of a system using Atmega 32 microcontroller wherein the traffic flow is effectively managed depending on the traffic density. • Turbo Codes September’16 – November’16 Implemented turbo codes which are a class of high-performance forward error correction (FEC) codes. Implemented the encoder as well as the decoder using Scilab. AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS • Winner in ‘Stock Exchange’ competition at Institute’s Cultural Fest, 2013 and 2017 • Secured 999 International Rank and State Rank 2 in the 3rd International Mathematics Olympiad, 2010 conducted by the Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF)
