• The majority of evaluators, the old, the young and
upcoming had various options when choosing to
pursue a career in evaluation.
• Evaluation is trans-disciplinary leading to multiple
professional paths
• Entry points for the young and emerging evaluators
KEY FINDINGS

• Absence of standardization
• Lack of professional learning competency
frameworks and guidelines
• Inadequate Evaluation Capacity Building
(ECB) strategies linked to identified
priorities specific to YEEs

• Limited options to attend an accredited
evaluation university course and associated
formal courses on evaluation
• Lack of clear career pathways
RECOMMENDATIONS

mentoring

other evaluation associations and

the development of young and
emerging evaluators to meet the needs

entities and stakeholders.
Our hope is that you refine the professional pathways for young and emerging evaluators. So that we
know our entry points, the how, the where….
We understand the innovate changes and challenges faced by the industry and we ask that you
document you stories/your journeys so that we can learn from them.
Please put us into context/perspective ….when conducting evaluation, we want to be in every
evaluation that will be ever conducted. We want to be part of every process. We are ready and capable.
Please understand that because we are interested and passionate…mentorship can go a long way in
refining our growth. Please challenge us expose us….the new generation of young and emerging
evaluators is coming to you with MASTERS AND PHDS IN Evaluation.
