Many assets utilised by global navies require ever more technical MRO procedures. This combined with the pressure of quicker turnaround times and operational demand, creates a very challenging environment in which to work. The need for a continued high-level training programme puts huge strain on the ability of a team to continually evolve to meet the demands of its vessel. A look towards the future of potential technology and training methods in the classroom will help further develop the functionality of all units. A recently published British Standard - BS11000 - is the world’s first guide to achieving successful collaborative business relationships and was written jointly by BSI and PSL. PSL are running this workshop which will explain the concepts of BS1100 and consolidate this with the use of a simple but challenging practical interactive exercise.
