General Maintenance
Maintaining the Woodlands’ campus throughout
the year offers many challenges for our small staff,
and volunteer groups help tremendously with
keeping the Woodlands beautiful.
Projects include:
• Painting
• Raking leaves
• Weeding and planting flowers
• Deep cleaning
• And more!
Fall Festival &
Haunted Trail Decoration
Each October, the Woodlands transforms its
campus in preparation for the annual Fall
Festival. Fall Fest is free to the public and
offers an evening of fun with music, games,
food, activities, and our “not so scary” haunted
trail. Volunteer groups make this event
possible by helping prepare the campus and
cleaning up afterwards. Some groups even
host a section of the haunted trail, or work an
activity or game booth the night of Fall Fest!
Creativity welcome!
Rum Cake Fundraiser
Hundreds of volunteers assist the Woodlands
from October through December in our Rum and
Apricot Brandy Cake Sale. Volunteers join our
Food Services Manager in the kitchen to bake
delicious cakes which are sold throughout the
holiday season.
don’t miss
A tour of the Woodlands’ beautiful
52-acre campus is included during
each volunteer day.
Decorating for the Holidays
The Woodlands has a special spirit
when it comes to everything that we do,
so holiday decorating is no exception!
Volunteers assist with decorating the
campus each year for the holidays.
