Mark wanted to share his message but didn't know how. He tried asking various animals and objects like a cat, rock, and tree, but none could help him communicate. Feeling frustrated, Mark started crying until he saw a soapbox that others were using to share their messages, giving him the idea to use a soapbox to share his own message with others.

- 4. He went to the cat but it only said, “meow.”
- 6. Mark thought he could try asking the rock,
- 8. but without a face or mouth the rock couldn’t talk.
- 10. Mark climbed up the hill to seek help from the tree.
- 12. Once atop, the tree wouldn’t help for free.
- 14. He then decided to f ind a friend who could talk.
- 16. He asked the parrot for help but all she did was squawk.
- 18. Frustrated and sad Mark started to cry.
- 20. He moped around campus till something caught his eye.
- 22. People were crowded around a soapbox to share,
- 24. their message of excitement, passion, and f lair.
- 26. One foot in front of the other he walked, finally empowered by this little soapbox.
