MONEY: ADDING
 4 Nickels + 3 dimes= 50 cents
 1 Quarter = 2 dimes+ 1 nickel
 • .10+.10+.5=.25
 25 cents + 1 nickel
 • .25+.05=.30 cents
 45 cents+ 1 quarter= 70 cents
 • .45+.25= 70 cents
MONEY: SUBTRACTING
 3 quarters – 1 quarter= 2

  but 3 suckers are on sale for
  $.55 cents. If June buys 3
  suckers and gives the cashier
  $.75 cents, how much change
  will she get back?
 • $.75 - $.55 = .15 cents
