ACTIVITY #2 (WORD OF WAR)
1. The teacher will show you jumbled letters,
and you will arrange it to find the magic
words.
2. Every group has only one representative to
post your answer on the board.
3. Those who can get the correct answer will
get the point.

ACTIVITY # 3: WHAT’S THE PASSWORD?
The teacher will read a story entitled “Story of
the Traveler and the King”. After reading, the
pair of students will identify what will be the
answer to the question based on the story. The
other teacher will help assist the learners with
material needed and the like.
ACTIVITY # 3: WHAT’S THE PASSWORD?
Once upon a time, there was a king named King Kilometer
who was imprisoned in a secluded place. A traveler named
Maxwell saw the King. But then, the King couldn’t speak
because his mouth was covered. When Maxwell approached
the King, he saw this written password in the padlock.
Password: “You need to convert 2.5 kilometers into meter.”
ACTIVITY # 3: WHAT’S THE PASSWORD?
Answer Key:
The password of the padlock is 2500. Since 1
kilometer is equal to 1000 meter and our given is
2.5 kilometers. All we need to do is to multiply 2.5
to 1000 to covert kilometer into meter.

CONVERSION
Conversion of units is the conversion
between different units of
measurement for the same quantity,
typically through multiplicative
conversion factors.
CONVERSION
Conversion Factor is a number
used to change one set of units to
another; either by multiplying or
dividing.
CONVERSION
This involves the ENGLISH
SYSTEM which is based on a non-
universal way of measuring by
means of human body parts or
other instrument;
CONVERSION
and the METRIC SYSTEM which is
based on decimal system.

Additional Examples
Lisa was invited to attend a Muslim Wedding of her friend. She decided
to gift her and inches of ribbons are needed for wrapping the present.
How many presents can be wrapped with 6 yards of ribbons?
GROUP ACTIVITY
ACTIVITY 4: VARIED ACTIVITIES
Mechanics:
1. Groupings: This will be done by identifying learner’s background (IP group,
Religion, Language used, Socio-economic background and cultural
belongingness), but leaders were identified by having the top 4 in class
during the 1st quarter.
2. The first group to form and with discipline will receive 2 points.
3. After forming, each group will work collaboratively on an activity sheet for
5 minutes.
4. The first group to complete their activity sheet will receive 2 points.

6. The next group to report will rate the performance of the
presenting group based on a rubric and may ask questions if
needed. CRITERIA PERCENTAGE
Delivery (clear & audible) 20%

Discipline (control of other & own behavior) 10%
Feedback/ Inquiries (intention to improve the
receiver’s performance

7. Repeat the process for each group until all
five have presented.
8. Tally the points earned by each group and
declare the winner.
