- 2. Definition of Measurement The definition of measurement is using accuracy and length to measure the width or height of an object. You can also use it for measuring time and angles.
- 3. Measuring Tools Tools to measure length and width are rulers and measuring tape, Tools that measure amount and capacity: measuring cups Tools to measure angles: protractors and sextants. Units of length are used to measure areas and volumes Tools to measure time: Watch or clock

Measurement Vocabulary Definitions mass- amount of matter an object contains weight- a measure of the effect gravity has on a object volume- measure of how much space it takes up destiny- measures how heavy something is for its size dimension- just a way to measure a geometric figure like length, width and depth

The easiest way to remember the most commonly used measurements are King Henry Doesn’t Usually Drink Chocolate Milk. King = Kilo, Henry = hecto, Doesn’t = deci, Usually = Usually, Drink = deka,Chocolate = Centi and Milk = milli.

- 10. Different Measurement Systems The main system we use is the metric system. Some other systems are imperial system and the english system.
- 11. How measurement connects with materials Materials and measurement connect because in order to make a material they may have to measure using centimeters or meters in order to find out how much of something they need.
