As information technology continues to expand, we find that almost anyone can be a self–claimed
expert in almost any field, without the cumbersome technicality of having an educational
background on the matter they choose to discuss. This issue is further exacerbated when those
individuals are given a public platform to convey their poorly substantiated opinions. Now it is
important, as it has always been that the individual must take it upon their self to properly research
the subject matter before developing an opinion. In this case, information technology has provided
people with the ability to easily obtain information from reliable sources.
Information technology has changed the context in which governments must operate. Individual
citizens and groups now have the ability to quickly organize and contest or influence the direction
and mode of governance. From 24/7 news to flash mobs to blogs to political tell–alls, the rapid flow
of information demands rapid results from systems of governance. How has information technology
compressed the ability of governments and organizations across the board to implement long–term
strategic planning? How has information technology redefined sovereign and cultural borders? How

and climate change has triggered a temperature increase of 0.74 degrees Celsius globally. To put that
in perspective, 0.74 degrees Celsius is equal to about 1.33 degrees Fahrenheit. It is expected that
over the next hundred years, the temperature will rise another 1.8 to 4 degrees Celsius, or a shocking
35 to 39 degrees Fahrenheit (Wiederholt and Post). This means that over 200 years, the global
temperature will have risen by almost 50 degrees Fahrenheit; a truly shocking statistic. The immense

China. Per capita carbon emissions from china are only about 5 tons per year, which is relatively
low when compared to almost 20 tons per capita for the United States (Each country's share).

There are some environmental stressors that are related to the environmental risk (global warming).
Merriam–Webster has defined environmental stressors as physical characteristics of one's
environment that causes any type of stress to them. In the society that we live in, some of the
stressors cause individuals not to be able to escape from the stress of the environment. For example,
an individual grows up in an area that relies on self farming and planting their own crops to survive.
The land has become full of toxic pollutants and now farm land is not suitable to sustain life and no
seed that enters the ground will yield and crops. This is the direct result of a chemical plant
incorrectly disposing of harmful chemical into the ground saturating it. The individuals that live in
the area and rely on the grounds to sustain their life may now become stressed because now their
land is destroyed for perhaps years to come, they may not have the funds to buy food that they
normally would grow, and now they are stressed out about how they will survive the ordeal.

In his novel Ishmael, Daniel Quinn discusses the destruction and salvation of the world. By way of a
newspaper ad, an unnamed narrator meets a telepathic gorilla, named Ishmael, who had put up the

Is global warming a moral dilemma? Is it the public policy problem from hell? In "The

Mckibben inaugurates his third paragraph suggesting that we make the environmental issues, ""the

He uses this analogy to explain that in his opinion, we are strip–mining the present and destroying

CO2, dust and CH4 are the main source of greenhouses gases, which are produced mainly by human
activities. If that is the case, the composition of CO2, dust and CH4 should be coherent to the
change of temperature of the Earth. Yet, it is not shown from the data.
Moreover, there are lots of different factors that keep affecting the temperature of the Earth. The
energy of the sun, the albedo effect, Milakovitch Cycles, plate tectonics are the examples of the
factors that affect the temperature.
Conclusion
To conclude, based the given data, it is difficult to prove that anthropogentic changes are stronger
than the glacial and interglacial changes in temperature, as there are not enough valid evidence from
the lab. Studying climate change is not a short term issue. However, due to the limited technology
level and the knowledge of the Earth, we could not obtain concise data to investigate the climate
change. The ice core could be one of the proxies that help us to understand the climatic condition in

If too many greenhouse gases are released into the atmosphere, too much heat will become trapped
and the Earth's temperature will rise. Since the use of the beforementioned have become more
frequent, the parts per million (ppm) of atmospheric greenhouse gases have risen, too.
The negative effects of this rise is frightening, and may start effecting the planet very soon. When
the planet warms, glaciers, and polar ice caps melt causing a rise in sea level. The melting of
glaciers also removes many people of their clean water because 80% of all the people on Earth

I feel that global warming is taking place due to the human beings influence of the earth. When I say
influence I mean the use of fossil fuels, aerosols and other hazardous devices that humans have
derived for comforts. These chemicals that are being used have and continuously harmed the
environment, not just with global warming, but the pollution of our natural resources Now we the
human race is suffering the effects of global warming that is causing the melting of ice glaciers.
Glaciers that have been in existences for hundreds and are now subject to the greenhouse effect. The
