This is the wonderful S. Nicholas “Basilica”
                                       th
in the old town. It was built in the 12 century,
              during the Middle Age.
You can see the classical window “ROSONE”
       of the Apulian Romantic style.
Here is S. Nicholas’statue
     that is in S. Nicholas
  “Basilica” in the old town.
He has got three fingers up of
 the right hand to symbolize
his three famous miracles and
     a key in the left hand.
 He is the patron saint of our
          town, Bari.
       He represents the
     connection between
   Catholic and Ortodioxien
             Church.
This is
the well-known
   S. Nicholas
   “Caravella”
the typical boat
    that takes
   S. Nicholas’
statue during his
 Celebration Day
 on the 8th May
 of every year.
