Melting Complete the sheet on particles
In a solid Particles are in a fixed place Particles can only vibrate about their place Particles are very close together
In a liquid Particles are not in a fixed place Particles can move over one another in the bottom of the container Particles are close together
In a gas Particles can move anywhere in their container Particles are moving very fast Particles are far apart
Must know that some materials melt Should know what melting is Could know some of the differences between the way different materials melt
We have to heat things to get them to melt Different chemicals melt at different temperatures. (They have different melting points) Melting is when a solid turns into a liquid What have we discovered?
