- 2. •First we will talk about outosomal dominant disorders
- 3. Outosomal dominant disorder • Example :If one health male and one mutant female of marfan syndrome got marry
- 4. • The sperm of the male is having two chromosomes , one from his father and one from his mother , but they are both healthy as we are concerned with our example • Also the woman , when she is making ovum , either she will put the health chromosome or the mutant chromosome , so the chances of the woman making either healthier ovum or mutant ovum is 50% , this is the law of segregation
- 5. • And they have 4 children , two male and two female
- 6. • Healthier chromosome of the male interacts with the healthier chromosome of the female and that child becomes healthier • So this child is normal phenotype and genotype
- 7. • When healthier chromosome of the male interacts with the mutant chromosome of the female the child has 50% chance to develop Marfan syndrome • So when this child grows up she has a chance to manifest a Marfan syndrome
- 8. • Healthier chromosome of the male interacts with the healthier chromosome of the female and that child becomes healthier • So this child is normal phenotype and genotype
- 9. When a healthier chromosome of the male interacts with the mutant chromosome of the female that child has a 50% chance to develop Marfan syndrome
