Midterm reflection
- 1. Midterm Reflection So far, what is the most interesting aspect of communications you've discovered? Provide an example (both in text and image) and explain why. So far, the most interesting aspect of communications were some of the parts of social media. I found it very interesting that the people that create these social medias are only a few years old then we are. So far, what skill have you learned that has proven most valuable or worthwhile for you (think: new technology used, presenting skills, etc)? Why has this one mattered to you more than others? A skill that I have learned that has proven most valuable or worthwhile for me was the ability to learn about and use new software. I think that learning about and learning how to use new software is a very important thing to learn because as technology continues, there is less of a need for older methods of almost everything. In the future there is probably going to be a higher demand for a person who knows how to use a computer and its software efficiently then someone who doesn’t know much about a computer when it comes to jobs. What one challenge or obstacle have you had to overcome so far in this course (ex: tracking what needs to be done, learning a variety of tools/skills, managing group work, etc)? What tricks or tips have you adopted to enhance your progress in this area? One of the challenges we had at the beginning of the year was trying to manage our group work for the prezi assignment. At the beginning of the assignment we found ourselves behind but once we caught on how to work efficiently as a group we finished the project pretty fast. What things are you hoping we will address in our units on digital photography, animation and broadcasting?
- 2. At the beginning of the course in our About Me activity, you set a goal for yourself in terms of the grade you wanted to achieve by the end. How are you doing with that goal as of today? What things are you doing or not doing that are contributing to the level of achievement you have established so far? What can you do to maintain or improve on your level of success to date- be specificthink of at least 2-3! At the beginning of the course in my About Me I think I said I wanted to get a 80 or something, I think that I am doing pretty good at the goal as of now. I think I can maintain my grade if I complete all the work, and if I continue to fix the mistakes on the work I did when given the chance.
