Mind mapping is a note taking technique developed by Tony Buzan in 1974 that uses diagrams to visually organize information with branches of key words and images radiating from a central concept. It is done on a landscape page with the central idea at the top and related concepts branching out and connected by lines to engage both sides of the brain for better recall, creativity, and focus when taking notes, generating ideas, brainstorming, summarizing, writing, and more.
