In building upward, we focus our lives on building our relationship with our Heavenly Father by communing with him through our worship and prayer. (Deuteronomy 6:5) In building inward, we focus on our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Through this relationship, with the help of the Holy Spirit, and through the ministry of the Word of God, our lives should be radically changed, so we can in turn focus on the final piece of building relationships. (Romans 12:2) Lastly, we are called to build relationships outwardly. Jesus was clear in both His Great Commandment and Great Commission that we are focus on loving others. In building relationships outwardly, through being His witnesses, building caring relationships, and sharing the Grace of God found in the Gospel of His son Jesus Christ, it is our hope t hat we not only strengthen ourselves, but also make disciples of Jesus Christ, and help to build up the Kingdom of God.
