Module 3012 buffers and clips

- 2. This presentation contains two YouTube video clips • Clip 1: Selecting features which are on or near another feature, using a buffer or search distance • Clip 2: Clipping one set of features by the outline of another set, using one of the tools in the ArcMAP toolboxes.
- 3. Clip 1: follows this slide • It is assumed you have worked through the first two sets of video clips. • This video shows how to select features which are both on or near another feature. This can give more control over your selection • Clip 2 follows clip 1 and you can go straight to it by clicking the advance button below without watching clip 1
- 4. Clip 2: follows this slide • In this video you will see how to use area features on one layer to clip out features on another layer as if you had used a biscuit cutter. You will have to use the ArcMAP toolboxes for the first time for this.
