ENVIRONMENTAL MONITORING
 It describes the process and activities that need to take place to
characterize and monitor the quality of the environment.
 Environment monitoring is used in the preparation of
environmental impact assessments as well as in many
circumstances in which human activities carry a risk of harmful
effects on natural environment.
THE PURPOSE OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL
MONITORING
 crucial information on the quality of the aseptic
processing environment during manufacturing
 Prevents the release of potentially contaminated batch if
appropriate standards are not fulfilled
 Prevents future contamination by detecting adverse trends
MONITORING THE ENVIRONMENT

exploit opportunities in the environment
 For the purpose of monitoring, business environment may be
divided into:
1. Economic sector
2. Governmental sector
3. Technological sector
