Bilbo sits worried in his big soft chair, eating food from the table next to him. He is concerned because Gandalf has gone into the big wood without telling Bilbo his plans. Bilbo wonders aloud what Gandalf would want him to do, then gets up and looks out the window in surprise at an unseen friend.

- 1. Monologue – Script Example<br />Setting : In Bilbo Baggins House. There is a big soft chair in the middle of the room. Beside the chair is a small table with some food on it. There is a rug on the floor.<br />(Enter Bilbo – He goes to the couch and sits down)<br />Bilbo:<br />(Worried) Oh dear me what am I going to do. This was not a good idea. (picks up the food and has a little nibble) Gandalf has gone off into the big wood and I am not sure what to do. (Scratch his head) (Concerned voice) What would Gandalf want me to do ? (Gets up and walks to the window) <br />(Surprised) Oh look …(looks out the window) There is my friend.<br />
