Metal Cutting Processes:
                                                         4

 The process of metal cutting in which chip is formed is affected by
relative motion between the workpiece and the hard edge of the cutting
   tool.
 Depending upon relative motion different metal cutting operations are
formed such as turning, drilling, milling, boring, planning, etc.

Operation Motion of Job Motion of cutting tool
       Turning Rotary Forward translation
       Boring Rotation Forward translation

Drilling Fixed Rotation as well as translator feed
       Planing Translatory Intermittent translation
