This document discusses using the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) approach to select a mobile phone that meets the needs of common people. It presents a case study where customer requirements are gathered from a survey. The requirements are translated into technical specifications using a house of quality matrix. Three mobile phone brands (Nokia, Samsung, Micromax) are evaluated based on how well they meet the technical specifications weighted by customer importance. The results show Samsung scores highest followed by Micromax then Nokia in meeting the identified customer needs.
